The world of the dead is on the brink of destruction because the ruler has mysteriously vanished. Good and evil spirits broke free and they now roam the land at their will. AYA follows the story of four deities who seek for answers and attempt to take the throne of the underworld. We begin the game by allowing the player to choose between 4 deities. The progression of the game will follow the deity the player has chosen as each of the deity inherits a unique story. Each character of choice will start their journey at their place of origin on the game map and venture out of their way to cross paths with the others.

1. The Main Gate of AYA
The gate where all the spirits migrate through in the afterlife. Blanketed by fog, this area is mysterious and secluded. Ruled by The Guardian of The Gate.
2. The Judgement Pavilion
The spirits are judged based on their previous lives here. The pavilion is formed by a big statue of a Bird God that is ruled by The Judge of The Dead. Each spirit will come forward underneath the statue's head to be either rewarded or persecuted.
3. The Forest of AYA
Also called AYA meadow, this is the place for ordinary or indifferent souls who are categorized as good spirits. Ruled by The Guardian of the Forest.

As the name suggests, this is a place for those who had created havoc on the world specifically against the gods. The Persecutor of the Dead would make the individual's punishment of eternal suffering.
